Let us Jump into Reasons : Joomla vs WordPress.

#3. Comparison between Joomla vs WordPress

  • If you want to add images, publish new items, WordPress is extremely easy to use. Whereas Joomla presents a more “feature-rich” CMS, though one needs to get the hang of making the modifications.
  • In comparison to WordPress, Joomla is supported by a strong community to help the end users.
  • Joomla is best for creating websites oriented to e-commerce and website requiring a more professional touch. Joomla has thousands of extensions to offer, which are instrumental in increasing the functionality of a website. With its wider flexibility, enhanced features and premier extensions, Joomla to greater extent out beats WordPress.
  • Joomla was created from the ground up and over the years grown as an acclaimed CMS, while WordPress was designed as a publishing platform that has developed gradually into a CMS, offering each unique capability. These are the reasons why many developers declare that Joomla wins in the comparison between Joomla vs WordPress.

#4. Why use Joomla over WordPress ( Joomla vs WordPress )

Just because of power and flexibility provided by the Joomla CMS, it has become most popular CMS available on the market. Reasons for its vast popularity are its features, numerous capabilities and a developed custom database work. Joomla offers a complex multiple user privilege system, with user registration and layered content privileges, while WordPress does not have the privilege system. Joomla is also the best open source CMS solution when it comes to multiple user groups. For me personally from the comparison between Joomla vs WordPress, I prefer Joomla.

In nutshell both platforms work well for managing a website, WordPress is best option for small to medium business. But Joomla is fantastic option for a website that requires multiple user privileges or custom database work. It’s still not possible to declare a convinced winner between Joomla vs wordpress as bloggers, webmasters have their own reasons.

  7. As web developers we tried the Big 3, Joomla, WordPress and Drupal and also some small ones like Perch as a CMS of choice for our clients and prospects.

What we wanted was a simple solution to use

on a new or existing site.

We eventually settled on WordPress. It’s got everything…except…full freedom of design. In other you have to either use an existing theme or create a new one.

    Our solution to

this was to take an existing site and create a WP theme on a page by page basis. Best of both worlds – CMS and existing design.

  13. The comparison of both sites are very good and I like to use wordpress because it provides all requirements for blogger and it contains more functionality. Joomla is also best CMS and it provides good functionality. Thanks for sharing this information about it.

  14. Know this is old but will comment anyway. I use WordPress as well. Whoever said that doing a custom design is hard, you are wrong.

The thing that has me won regarding Joomla is

    1) Interface. You log on, go to posts, hit it, type, put images, post and that’s it.
    2) The loop; countless of options; custom post types, custom stuff.
    3) Ease of use: I don’t have to train my clients to use it, it’s that simple.
    4) Kick ass designers use it; give me a few good looking web designs made on Joomla please. They ALL look the same. If you go to Smashing Mag, .net, tutsplus, etc, the big players for Web Design, they ALL use WordPress as well.

  15. The easiest, fastest and 100 % SEO optimized it iMagic CMS,http://imagiccms.com for simple sites or for designers: =) very small in comparison with Drupal and Joomla. The site in google has appeared in 2 hours!

  16. more than I used wordpress.com but recently switched to self hosted wordpress. I also tried joomla, blog2evolution, etc. But wordpress is best for tsunami simplicity. Also wordpress has a lot of plugins for everything, thims too. WordPress also has very Seo options. Other side joomla is complicated and confusing too, very hurd to use. My vote is going to wordpress.

  17. Thank you for this wonderful information. I was thinking of moving from WordPress to Joomla. That was how i cam accross this blog. Having read all the arguments, i guess its better to still stick WordPress

  18. I have used Joomla and I’m comfortable with it but I have heard wordpress is a lot easier for seo. I’m considering wordpress just for SEO has anyone seen any difference regarding SEO between the two.
